Md Tokon, born in 1978 in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh, earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Dhaka in 2000. For the past 24 years, he has lived in the United States, studying at the renowned Art Students League of New York and earning a degree in studio art and design from the City University of New York. His work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the Queens Museum of Art, Hammond Museum, and Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, as well as the John David Mooney Foundation in Chicago. He has participated in major art fairs like Art Southampton and the Dhaka Art Summit and held a grand solo exhibition at Edge Gallery in 2023. Represented by Bonhams Auction House, Trimper Gallery, and the White Room Gallery, Tokon continues to make his mark in the global art scene. Md Tokon was also one of the participating artists in Future of Hope – আশা, a Creative Transmission project hosted by the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF) during the COVID-19 lockdown.
