DBF COLLECTION
A Journey into Art: Profiles that Inspire
About the DBF Collection
The DBF Collection is the passion project of art patron Durjoy Rahman, a personal journey that started over 25 years ago and now includes over 2,000 artworks. The Collection’s focus is primarily on works by contemporary Bangladeshi master painters as well as emerging talent from the region and diaspora, and also extends to Indian masters, Middle Eastern, African and Western contemporary artists.
The Collection has a rigorous loaning mandate to art institutions around the world, and its archive functions as an essential research resource for South Asian art, with extensive artist and artwork information, as well as commissioned texts by academic experts.
The DBF Collection is developed alongside the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF), a non-profit art foundation with a mission to support and promote art from Bangladesh and the wider South Asia region in a critical, international art context.
